July 13th, is a special day. A day to celebrate something near and dear to my heart – FRENCH FRIES! Some like them fried light and some like them fried dark, but just about everybody loves french fries.
It is believed that Thomas Jefferson introduced them to the colonies in the late 1700′s. They were called potatoes, fried in the manner of the French. Americans now call them french fries but the rest of the world calls them “chips”.
Whether you like your fries plain, with ketchup and salt or all the way with chili and cheese (Gordos of course), celebrate with America today!
