Do you ever come home from a busy day and wonder “What am I going to cook for dinner”? Sometimes we just don’t remember to plan ahead. Well I have a tip for you!
The next time you are cooking ground beef for a recipe, double the amount of meat you cook. Most recipes call for one to one and a half pounds of meat. Next time cook 2 to 3 pounds. After cooking, drain the meat, use half the portion for your recipe and freeze the other half.
Keep your pantry stocked with tomatoes, chili beans, canned Veg-all, spaghetti sauce and tomato sauce. Then when dinnertime finds you unprepared, grab your frozen ground beef and throw together chili, soup, spaghetti or sloppy joes. Saves time on clean-up too!
