With the holiday season underway, everyone is gearing up for holiday parties galore! And having so many invitations to so many holiday festivities can become a daunting task when it comes to what to bring. We’ve got you covered with five crowd pleasing from “no work required” to “Wow, you made this?” appetizers to take to any party this holiday season!
The “No Work Required”
Running late to an event and don’t know what to bring that requires no time at all? Don’t worry your holiday head a bit because Gordo’s Cheese Dip is the best go to for any party! The “Easy Peasy”
It’s okay to not have the time or talent to cook something fancy! We don’t judge! Just throw all this together and take it to a party to wow your friends with this easy recipe!
- 1 lb. ground hot pork sausage
- 1 (10oz.) can diced tomato and green chiles
- 1 cup Gordo’s Cheese Dip(any flavor)
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Corn chips, tortilla chips, crusty bread. Cook sausage in large skillet, stirring until meat crumbles and is no longer pink. Drain well. Add diced tomatoes and green chiles, melted Gordo’s cheese dip and shredded cheddar cheese. Pour in 2 quart baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until bubbly. Serve with corn chips, tortilla chips, crusty bread or crackers
The “It looks like I tried”
We all know the best thing to bring to a party are the recipes that are easy to make but look like you really put in a lot of effort!
- 1 16 oz. bag frozen chopped spinach
- 1 can artichoke hearts (drained)
- 1 8 oz. package cream cheese
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 1/2 cups fresh grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 package Dry Ranch seasoning
- 1 16 oz tub MILD Gordo’s cheese dip
Cook spinach in microwave for 5 minutes. Drain and squeeze out any excess moisture. In separate bowl, microwave cheese dip and cream cheese for 2 minutes until melted. Chop drained artichoke hearts. Mix all ingredients in large bowl. Pour into greased 8 x 8 oven-safe dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly throughout. Serve with crackers, chips, or fresh vegetables.
The “Good Amount of Effort”
It looks fancy but it only takes a little amount of effort to look this good! This one is great for a big party where you need to serve more people!
- 2-16 oz cans spicy Refried Beans
- ½ pound lean ground chuck scrambled, drained; add ½ pack taco seasoning mix
- 1 cup Sour Cream
- 1 cup Guacamole
- 1 cup Gordo’s Cheese dip (any flavor)
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup Tomatoes chopped
- 1/2 cup Scallions or Green Onions sliced
- 1 bag Tortilla Chips
First layer refried beans, add second of seasoned ground chuck, add third layer sour cream, add fourth layer guacamole. Top with lettuce, tomatoes and green onions. Drizzle heavy with your favorite flavor Gordo’s Cheese Dip. Dip with your favorite Chip!
The “Wow, you made this?”
Are you a professional chef? No? Don’t worry, neither are we! But we can make you look like you know your way around the kitchen!
- 16 oz. medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup Gordo’s Cheese Dip(any flavor)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
Place shrimp in pan with 1 quart boiling water and 1 teaspoon salt. Boil 4 minutes, drain and set aside. Melt Gordo’s cheese dip with butter and add in cheeses. Lightly chop shrimp. Stir shrimp into cheese mixture. Pour into a greased 2 quart baking dish. Bake at 375 degrees 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
